We believe in being inspired by your surroundings.

With that in mind, we planted roots in Midtown Alley of St. Louis - the creative epicenter of our city. We're neighbors with many of the best cultural institutions, creative shops, and cool restaurants in the region. Our studio space is a reflection of our boutique nature. Nearly everything in here is an example of St. Louis craftsmanship, art, and recycled history. And because we're so proud of the folks we work with, you'll see countless references and mementos to projects we've been a part of. We really love where we work.

We purchased our building at 3029 Locust Street in 2018. After a 14 month renovation project, we moved in during the summer of 2019. This 100+ year old building was once home to the Locomobile Company and later turned into a recording studio in the 1940s. This building was the first place Chuck Berry ever recorded music, and hosted Miles Davis, Bing Crosby, Ike & Tina Turner, and many others. It was also the recording location for Marlon Perkins and the show Wild Kingdom, and a pioneer of commercials during the golden age of advertising for Anheuser-Busch and Budweiser (the Missouri Historical Society has been cataloging the work). Be sure to check out the historical plaque outside when you visit. We love to think we carry on their legacy today!

While this place has a rich history, it also looks to the future with state-of-the-art technology and networking. We took innovative approach every detail. The roof-mounted solar panels provide more than 100% of our energy needs, so every camera, computer, light (even cars) are powered by the sun. We’ve been cited as a reference for modern creative spaces and a catalyst for downtown St. Louis and our neighborhood’s growth (St. Louis Business Journal, Entrepreneur’s Quarterly). We we’re also recognized with the St. Louis Business Journal’s Building 2020 Award - an incredible honor that we’re still shocked by!

To us nothing is more modern than flexibility. Our space is an open, modular, ever-charging, work-in-progress extension of everything we do. It exists to serve us creatively and functionally. It’s is our home-away-from home so to speak, and grounding place after a week-long shoot out of town, or a bunkered down edit for a critical deadline. Today, it’s exactly how we want it. Tomorrow, we’re able to change it to fit. And everyday, we are inspired by our surroundings.
